The Bahia Principe Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay - Adults Only resort has advised of the following renovation projects scheduled for 2025:
- Enhancements to guestrooms will take place from May to September 2025
- Jazmín Buffet Restaurant renovations will begin September 1, 2025, through to November 1, 2025. During this period, food service will be offered at Snack Las Olas restaurant. At the discretion of the resort, the Food Market Round Island, located at the neighboring Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica hotel, may also be available.
- Lobby Outdoor Terrace renovations will begin September 2025 through to November 2025.
- Takara Themed Restaurant renovations will take place September 1 through to December 15, 2025. During this period, guests will be able to enjoy the following à la carte restaurants by reservation: Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway: Brazilian and Mediterranean and Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica: Gourmet, Steakhouse, Italian, and Japanese.
All renovation work is being scheduled from from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Renovation noise will be minimal, and all efforts will be made to minimize impact to guests during this time.

The resort is a little dated and some of the food is bland however we still had an amazing birthday getaway. We had a garden view room which was fine because we didn’t spend a lot time inside anyway. Room was clean, AC blowing and fully stocked fridge ????. All of the staff was friendly and accommodating. We’ve stayed at different Sandals resorts and Jewel grand, same service for half the price. Also we stayed on the luxury side. The show was nice but the beach party was even better. We’ll definitely go back
take pictures of everything before you leave the room, so you know where things are placed incase of robbery.

Came for my girlfriends birthday. The overall vibe of the hotel was nice. My favorite part was joining Jason in Yoga and Pilates. However, house keeping stole my necklace. I made a report to security. I think the overall process of theft should be taken more seriously as it didn’t seem to be a big deal. The estimated value of my necklace was only $20, but I’ve had it for over 5 years and to have to be robbed while on vacation sucked. It was unattended for only about 5 hours. I can only imagine if I had my valuables in the safe out. Other than that I typically always have it on unless showering. I mentioned that I noticed theft was a big thing at the hotel and the security smirked a bit that was all. There should absolutely be an incentive for guests who experience theft within housekeeping. Don’t know if I’d recommend this hotel unless you come with absolutely nothing you care about.
